The Vietnam Open 2024, a prestigious Super 100 badminton tournament, is set to take place from September 10th to 15th, 2024, at Nguyen Du Sports Hall in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This year's event will feature 307 players from 22 countries competing in five categories - men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

The Vietnam Open 2024 has attracted the strongest badminton players from Vietnam, including Nguyễn Thùy Linh, Vũ Thị Trang, Vũ Thị Anh Thư, Lê Đức Phát, Nguyễn Hải Đăng, and more. Fans can purchase tickets directly at Nguyen Du Sports Hall, with prices starting at 80,000 VND per day for qualifiers, 150,000 VND per day for semifinals, and 200,000 VND per day for the finals.

Nguyễn Phương Nam, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Badminton Federation and Head of the tournament's organizing committee, emphasized the significance of the Vietnam Open in promoting the city through cultural exchanges and welcoming guests. Each year, the organizing committee strives to improve and learn from previous experiences to enhance the event's quality and reputation.

In addition to meeting the World Badminton Federation's standards, the organizers must also address specific challenges posed by different Chief Umpires overseeing the tournament each year. Each Chief Umpire brings unique perspectives and requirements, necessitating flexible solutions to accommodate varying opinions and details.

Despite the excitement surrounding the Vietnam Open 2024, the draw results have set up challenging matchups for Vietnamese players early on in the competition. Notably, Nguyễn Thùy Linh, Vũ Thị Trang, and Vũ Thị Anh Thư find themselves in the same bracket, with potential clashes in the initial rounds. On the men's side, Lê Đức Phát and Nguyễn Hải Đăng, seeded players, face diverse paths in their respective draws.
