The prestigious CIPUTRA HANOI - YONEX SUNRISE Vietnam International Challenge 2024 is set to take place from March 12 to 17 at the TDTT Quận Tây Hồ in Hanoi. With a rich history and international recognition, this badminton event attracts top players from around the world, showcasing thrilling matches and fierce competition.
Hosting 310 athletes from 19 countries and regions, the CIPUTRA HANOI - YONEX SUNRISE Vietnam International Challenge 2024 boasts a total prize pool of $15,000. The winners of each category will be awarded $1200 for first place, $720 for second place, $300 for third place, and $120 for fourth place. Notable international players to watch out for include Rhusta Vito Shesar Hiren from Indonesia, Shetty Ayush from India, Sim Yu Jin, and Letsthana Karupahthevan from Malaysia.
Vietnamese badminton talent will also be on display as the national team fields 10 athletes in five events. Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat will compete in men's singles, Vu Thi Anh Thu in women's singles, Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh in men's doubles, and Pham Thi Khanh, Pham Thi Dieu Ly, Pham Van Hai, and Than Van Anh in mixed doubles. However, reigning women's singles champion Nguyen Thuy Linh will not defend her title as she competes in the prestigious All England Super 1000 tournament simultaneously.
