The 2024 National Badminton Team Championship for the LI-NING Cup kicks off today, May 13. The tournament, held for the eighth time, will run from May 13 to May 17, 2024, at the Bac Giang Sports Arena.
The first day of the championship features four exciting matches. In the men's team category, Group A sees Dong Nai clash with Hanoi, while Group B witnesses battles between Ho Chi Minh City and the Military team, as well as Hai Phong facing off against Lam Dong. Additionally, the women's team event in Group A showcases Hai Phong taking on Ho Chi Minh City.
Starting at 7:30 PM in the men's team Group A, Dong Nai is expected to face a tough challenge against Hanoi. Particularly in the first singles match, Nguyen Tien Tuan holds a slight advantage over Tran Le Manh An, giving Hanoi an edge in the other matchups.
Meanwhile, in the men's team Group B, Ho Chi Minh City versus the Military team promises an intriguing clash in the second singles match. In the women's team Group A, Hai Phong faces a tough challenge against Ho Chi Minh City. The trio of female players from Ho Chi Minh City - Vu Thi Anh Thu, Vu Thi Trang, and Le Ngoc Van - clearly outshine their opponents from Hai Phong. Notably, Ho Chi Minh City also boasts the women's doubles pair of Vu Thi Anh Thu and Vu Thi Trang, ready to strengthen their team's performance in the second doubles match.
