On the men's side, Indonesian shuttler Jonatan Christie continued his remarkable form by capturing the men's singles title at the Asian Championships right after his triumph at the All England Open. Ranked 5th in the world, Christie defeated home favorite Li Shi Feng 21-15, 21-16, successfully defending Indonesia's championship title, which was previously won by Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. Christie expressed his satisfaction with his performance and his hopes to maintain his winning streak in the upcoming Thomas Cup, saying, "I played well throughout the Asian Championships, and I hope to continue this good form. It was a very special experience for me to defeat Li Shi Feng and Shi Yu Qi on their home turf, and I hope to sustain this momentum."
