The Vietnamese badminton team, comprising 10 athletes competing in 5 events, showcased their talent at the competition. Despite missing defending champion Nguyen Thuy Linh, who was participating in the prestigious All England Super 1000 at the same time, the Vietnamese players aimed to make their mark on the international stage.

In the men's singles category, rising talents Nguyen Hai Dang and Le Duc Phat aimed to secure a spot at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. Both seeded players, however, faced early exits in the tournament, highlighting the competitive nature of the event. While their journey at the competition ended prematurely, the experience gained will undoubtedly contribute to their development as they strive to achieve their Olympic dreams.

In the women's singles event, Vu Thi Thu Trang fought through the qualifiers but was unable to advance further, while Vu Thi Anh Thu emerged as one of the standout performers for Vietnam. Despite a strong display of determination and skill, Anh Thu faced a tough challenge in the quarterfinals, highlighting the level of competition at the tournament.

The mixed doubles pair of Pham Van Hai and Than Van Anh showed resilience and fighting spirit against formidable opponents, earning applause for their exceptional effort despite eventually bowing out of the tournament. Similarly, the men's doubles duo of Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh showcased their skills but fell short against higher-ranked opponents, demonstrating the competitive nature of the event.

Although Pham Thi Khanh and Pham Thi Dieu Ly faced a tough draw in the women's doubles event, their gritty performances and determination left a positive impression on the audience. While they may not have advanced far in this edition of the tournament, their potential and dedication show promise for future competitions and achievements.
