The BWF 2024 World Junior Championships kicked off with an electrifying start as young badminton talents from UAE showcased their potential to become global champions. The competition, including the prestigious Eye Level Cup matches, held on October 7th, featured intense match-ups that captivated fans worldwide.
In the Men's Singles opener, UAE's Lê Minh Sơn faced off against Brandon Maanacop from Northern Marianas, while Trần Quốc Khánh challenged Erdenechimeg of Mongolia, and Nguyễn Văn Mai went head-to-head with Marlon Bautista from Northern Marianas. The Women's Singles matches saw Bùi Bích Phương competing against Sydney Tjonadi from Australia, Trần Thị Ánh taking on Leyla Jamalzade from Azerbaijan, and Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền facing the 9th seed from Thailand, Ketklieng.
