The Li-Ning Vietnam International Series 2024 concluded its quarterfinals with four home representatives progressing to the semifinals. The competition, known as the Victory Cup 2024, saw intense battles in the women's singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles categories.
In the women's singles, third seed Vu Thi Trang defeated Tran Thi Anh 21-12, 21-15, while Bui Bich Phuong fell to South Korean player Kim Min Sun 16-21, 16-21. Moving to the men's doubles, third seed Nguyen Dinh Hoang/Tran Dinh Manh triumphed over Fan Wan Chun/Lei Ci Fu from Taiwan 21-12, 21-15. However, Nguyen Van Mai/Pham Van Truong faced a heartbreaking defeat of 20-22, 26-24, 13-21 against Chen Yu-Che/Tseng Ping-Chiang, also from Taiwan.
In the mixed doubles category, Tran Dinh Manh/Pham Thi Khanh displayed an impressive comeback, winning 19-21, 21-10, 21-9 against Fang Jiun Kai/Wang Szu-Min from Taiwan. Meanwhile, Pham Van Truong/Bui Bich Phuong secured a victory over compatriots Nguyen Dinh Hoang/Nguyen Vu Ngoc Tran with a score of 21-16, 21-19.
Unfortunately, Vietnam was left without representation in the women's doubles as Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan/Than Van Anh lost to fourth seed Airah Mae Nicole Albo/Eleanor Christine Inlayo from the Philippines 14-21, 11-21, and Nguyen Huyen Trang/Pham Thanh Hang were defeated by top seeds Yan Fei Chen/Liang Ching Sun from Taiwan 12-21, 9-21.
