The prestigious CIPUTRA HANOI - YONEX SUNRISE Vietnam International Challenge 2024 is set to take place from March 12 to 17 at the TDTT Sports Hall in Tay Ho District, Hanoi. This event, formerly known as Vietnam Satellite and Hanoi International, has evolved into an International Challenge since 2008, solidifying its reputation as one of Vietnam's top badminton tournaments.

This year's tournament will feature 310 athletes from 19 countries and territories competing for a total prize pool of $15,000. The top-performing athletes stand a chance to win significant cash prizes, with the first-place finisher receiving $1200, followed by $720 for second place, $300 for third place, and $120 for fourth place.

Among the standout international players participating in the event are Rhusta Vito Shesar Hiren from Indonesia (ranked 76th in men's singles), Shetty Ayush from India (ranked 78th in men's singles), Sim Yu Jin (ranked 39th in women's singles), and Letsthana Karupahthevan from Malaysia (ranked 55th in women's singles).

The tournament serves as a platform for Vietnamese athletes to gain valuable experience, compete, and earn points as they prepare for higher-level competitions. The Vietnam badminton team will be represented by 10 athletes competing in five different events, including singles and doubles matches.
