Vietnam's badminton journey came to a halt at the round of 16 in the World Junior Individual Championships - Eye Level Cup 2024 in Nam Xuong, China. Despite the valiant efforts of the Vietnamese team, they were unable to overcome their seeded opponents in both the men's singles and mixed doubles events.

In the men's singles event, Nguyễn Văn Mai faced a tough challenge against the number 2 seed from Indonesia, Moh. Zaki Ubaidilliah, ultimately losing with a scoreline of 9-21, 12-21. Ubaidilliah had previously defeated Lê Minh Sơn in the round of 64. The mixed doubles pair of Nguyễn Văn Mai and Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền also fought hard but succumbed to the pressure, falling to the 6th seed duo from Chinese Taipei, Lai Po Yu and Liang Ching Sun, with a score of 11-21, 13-21.

The Vietnamese badminton team traveled to Nam Xuong, Jiangxi Province, China to participate in the Suhandinata Cup - the World Junior Badminton Championships 2024, held from September 30 to October 13, 2024.
