The ongoing YONEX BWF World Junior Championships 2024, competing for the prestigious Eye Level Cup, witnessed a thrilling day of matches on October 9. Vietnamese talents displayed their skills with remarkable performances, marking their presence in various categories.
In the Round of 32, Vietnamese shuttlers continued their journey in Nam Xương, China, across all five disciplines. Trần Thị Ánh faced off against the 14th seed in women's singles, Yin Yi Qing from China, while Bùi Bích Phương took on Ranithma Liyanage from Sri Lanka.
Moving to the men's singles, Nguyễn Văn Mai challenged the 14th seed, Simone Piccinin from Italy. The women's doubles duo of Trần Thị Ánh and Bùi Bích Phương encountered Riska Anggraini and Salsabila Zahra Aulia from Indonesia.
