The recent inauguration of the 2024 National Junior Badminton Tournament - Donex Cup marks the beginning of an anticipated and thrilling season in the world of badminton. Organized annually by DONEXgroup, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Badminton Federation, and the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, this prestigious event brings together talented young players from across Vietnam.
This year's competition has attracted over 400 young talents from 29 provinces and cities nationwide. Athletes aged 6 to 18 will compete in five categories, including Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The tournament serves as a platform exclusively for outstanding young athletes, carefully selected from previous national junior badminton tournaments. With the participation of top young players, the event promises intense, dramatic, and visually captivating matches.
The 2024 National Junior Badminton Tournament - Donex Cup is not only an opportunity for athletes to gain experience and enhance their competitive skills but also contributes to fostering the development of sports in the country, particularly in the field of badminton. Following the opening ceremony, the competition schedule was promptly initiated by the organizing committee. The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 15 to 21 at the Thua Thien Hue Sports Complex.
