The Thua Thien Hue Provincial Sports Complex welcomed the opening ceremony of the National Mixed Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championship 2024 - Kamito Cup, taking place at 7:00 pm today, April 15, 2024. Running from April 15 to April 20, 2024, this prestigious and professional national championship attracts top teams nationwide.
This year's tournament features 10 teams from across the country, comprised of a total of 84 athletes, including 45 men and 39 women, competing in two separate groups. Renowned Vietnamese badminton players such as Tien Minh, Thuy Linh, Vu Thi Trang, Tien Tuan, Phuong Thuy, Hai Dang, Dinh Hoang, Dinh Manh, Van Hai, and Van Anh are among the participants, garnering significant attention from the media.
The teams will battle it out in five event categories: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Group A includes Bac Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, People's Police, and Dong Nai, while Group B consists of Lam Dong, Da Nang, Dong Thap, and Thua Thien Hue.
