The Vietnamese badminton team showed impressive performances on the first day of the Eye Level Cup 2024 World Junior Badminton Championship. With a strong start in the tournament, Vietnamese players displayed their skills and determination on the court.

In the Men's Singles matches, Vietnamese players showcased their dominance as Lê Minh Sơn defeated Brandon Maanacop from Northern Marianas with a convincing score of 21-6, 21-3. Trần Quốc Khánh easily surpassed Erdenechimeg from Mongolia with a score of 21-1, 21-8, while Nguyễn Văn Mai secured a victory against Marlon Bautista from Northern Marianas with a score of 21-8, 21-5.

Moving on to the Women's Singles matches, Bùi Bích Phương triumphed over Sydney Tjonadi from Australia with a score of 21-5, 21-12, and Trần Thị Ánh smoothly defeated Leyla Jamalzade from Azerbaijan with a score of 21-8, 21-6. Unfortunately, Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền fell short against the 9th seed Ketklieng from Thailand with a score of 7-21, 15-21.

In the Men's Doubles category, the Vietnamese duo of Trần Quốc Khánh/Lê Minh Sơn advanced by defeating Edward Patai/Makea Pauka from Cook with a score of 21-4, 21-5. Meanwhile, in the Women's Doubles matches, Trần Thị Ánh/Bùi Bích Phương secured a win against the duo from Mongolia, Arvinbuyn Bayasgalan/Bolorkhuyag Sarangoo, with a score of 21-3, 21-11. Additionally, Nguyễn Vũ Ngọc Trân/Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền fought hard to defeat Mengyao Tian/Kaylee Sichen Wang from Canada with a score of 19-21, 21-15, 21-15.

Unfortunately, in the Mixed Doubles matches, Vietnam lost one representative as Phạm Văn Trường/Bùi Bích Phương were defeated by Yi-hao Lin/Jheng Yu Chieh from Chinese Taipei with a score of 21-15, 9-21, 11-21. However, other Vietnamese pairs performed exceptionally well, with Nguyễn Văn Mai/Nguyễn Thị Thu Huyền defeating the 11th seed from Canada, Oliver Chen/Lyric Su, with a score of 21-15, 21-14, and Lê Minh Sơn/Nguyễn Vũ Ngọc Trân emerging victorious against Jayden Lim/Victoria Tjonadi from Australia with a score of 21-17, 21-15.
